The Art of An Truong

My work is the avenue I use to express my love for life and for those around me. The never-ending cycle of emotions and thoughts that stream my consciousness are characterized by the colorful and ambiguous settings that are revealed within my worlds.
From the small fungi that cover the forest floor to the ever-expanding edges of the universe, my subjects can be anything in between. I like to play with the contrasting themes of light and dark, micro and macro, organic and inorganic, and complementary color schemes. I work in a variety of mediums, but my preferred method is painting.
I am currently based in California. I received an AA in Arts and Cultures from Sierra College in 2016. I graduated magna cum laude from California State University of Sacramento with a BFA in Art Studio this Spring, 2020.
